This is a great activity for students at any level. I did this in my class and the outcome was good. No extra materials are needed except whiteboard pen or chalk. The objective of this game is to revise vocabulary that the students learnt previously.
Before the game starts, teacher should divide the class into groups of 5 students or more. Then, he or she can let the groups to decide their group name. After that, the teacher write down a total of 5 different words on the board if there is a total of 5 groups, and 6 words for 6 group, and 7 words for 7 group, and so on.
The progress of the game is same for all groups. Therefore I am using only one group as an example. Now, I write WELCOME for group A. Then, the first student must write a word that starts with the last letter of previous word, which is E. So, he writes ELEPHANT. The next student then come and starts with the letter T. The game continues until one of the students fail to come up with a word in 5 seconds or repeats a same word.
Keep the game going until there is only 1 people left per group. Then these winners from their groups come together and start the final round. The flow of the game is same, just that these students are the best in their respective groups. The game ends when there is only one student left. He or she is the winner of the game.
Now that you understand how it works, go try it in your classroom!

Things At Home
Today, I will teach u how to name things in the home. When you invite your friends to come over at your house, you should know how to introduce them to the things at your home. First of all, do you know what do you have in your home?
This is a living room. What can you see in here? Oh yes, you can see a television, a clock, a painting and a set of sofa.
How about this dining room? Can you name the things here? That’s right. There is some chairs, a table, a lamp and a big cupboard.
The place where you sleep is called bedroom. You should be familiar with your bedroom because you are there every night, isn’t it? So, what can you see in this bedroom here? There is a bed, some pillows, a mirror and a carpet.
Do you ever go into your kitchen in your home? You should help your mum to do the dishes in the kitchen after every meal, so her workload is reduced. Now, can you list the things you see in this kitchen here? Oh yes, there is an oven, a kettle, a stove and a coffee maker.
Other than the things stated above, what else can you think of? Try with your friends and see if you can remember the things at each others’ home.

Exercise 4: Sharing Hobbies
Read and write.
Dear Hong Lee,
In your e-mail, you asked me how to keep a rabbit. Let me tell you how to do it.
First, get a hutch. You can buy one from the pet shop or get your father to make you one. A simple one will do. Make sure that it is big enough for your rabbit. Put a bowl in the hutch for water. Clean the hutch every week. Dry it in the sun before putting your rabbit in.
A rabbit likes to eat carrots and green vegetables. Do not give it meat or fish. Remember to feed it twice a day. Take it out of the hutch during feeding time. Let the rabbit run about in your garden. It is fun to see it running here and there.
Do let me know how you are keeping.
Your friend,
Kana
